Finished!

The Warriors: The Eternal Storm was completed yesterday, and what a great accomplishment it was. Last night I started proofreading, adding extra things to make it less choppy and prevent it from going too fast, and taking out things that were unnecessary. I even moved a few scenes around thinking it was better to place them elsewhere while keeping to the flow of the story.

I am not quite finished yet as proofreading can be a long and tedious process. But upon finishing, I am submitting it to several literary agents with my fingers crossed. Wish me luck!

Nearly there!

So after three years of vigorous writing, plotting, planning, and stressing, The Warriors: The Eternal Storm is nearly complete. I am right now at the epilogue, the final chapter in the novel. I've come a long way in this story, throwing a lot of elements such as drama, action, crime, and then some.

The Warriors face a lot of outside challenges that we all face in today's real world. Often it hits close to home when we realize, hey that character is going through what I went through. There is much sadness and heartache in the story, as well as the desire to literally want to strangle a few characters.

The story itself only partly focuses on the main them, which involves a friend being abducted. But it mostly focuses on the Warriors themselves and their own struggles.

A possible synopsis:

What do you do when your whole world begins to suddenly crash around you? Things seem to fall far from the reach of your hands, and life itself seems to be nothing more than a mockery. You struggle with the concepts of why bad stuff always seems to happen to good people, and you want to do nothing more than to beat your fists against the walls, shout angrily to the world, and later hide yourself away.

At the same time you struggle through these emotions caused by an unwanted rift in life, you learn a very good friend of yours has been abducted. You want to rescue him immediately, but are told you can't, you need more training. But during the training, you're suddenly faced with obstacles that seem to appear from nowhere. Pulling at you, taunting you, pushing you back. All you want is to rescue your friend and get life back to normal.

For the Warriors this is exactly their struggle. Their friend is kidnapped, and their entire lives turn upside down in one hellish encounter after another. A near abduction, an attempted robbery, a family affair, and near death experiences have them spinning with emotions they have trouble facing.

Through it all, they are pushed to their limits, and realize the only way they can stay on track is by leaning one another for support and pushing their way through impassable walls. By overcoming their own problems, they are able to free themselves. But is freeing themselves enough to free their friend? Can they find the strength to rescue him? And what about the people of San Francisco whose lives suddenly end up in their hands?

Stay tuned for more information.
Also, if you are a literary agent and can prove it, and wish to have a look at the manuscript, send me a comment. :)

Their friend was kidnapped. Can they save him, or will their own misery prevent them from doing so?

So it has been said before that the sequel to The Warriors is underway. In fact, I've been working on it for about, what, two years? It's coming to an end, and soon I will be in the process of submitting it to the publishing press.

So what is this upcoming, hopefully to be fantasy novel? For starters, I mentioned it's the sequel to The Warriors: The Beginning, a fantasy novel of eight teenagers whose lives are interrupted in order to rise up against the Emperor of Tophet and wage war with him to prevent the enslavement of all human life, so that he can become god of the world.

The second novel in the works is called, The Warriors: The Eternal Storm. The Eternal Storm begins with the abduction of one of the Warriors, and soon after the other Warriors are confronted with bad situations left and right which keep them from busting directly into Tophet to save their friend.

As the story progresses, they find that their very trials may be too much for them to bear, and they soon begin to lose hope. When a massive creature is unleashed from Tophet, attacking the citizens of San Francisco, the Warriors will have to pull forth all of their strength and courage to rise up against it, or die in the very process, while being unable to save humanity.

And no, this isn't my pitch or anything. I'll be thinking of a better pitch than this once the novel is finished. But you have an idea of what the book could be about. I may post some sample chapters here sometime.

But it's a good feeling knowing that the second novel won't take me ten years to write this time. :)

Yowza

So where have I been these past several months? The truth is, I've been busy with school work, life, and over at Love Hina Generation RPG Board. Things haven't been going so well with The Warriors: The Beginning. I simply do not have the money to market the book in a way that will reach thousands of people at the same time.

And there is nothing wrong with the book, except for maybe some small typos, here and there, but I've been told by my readers that my book has pulled them in, in ways that no other book has. It's a good feeling knowing that it has done that. It's also a good feeling to be told that the children and siblings of my readers are now reading my book and don't want to put it down.

Still, it would be nice to get the book out there more. I'll have to contact some libraries around the US and see if I can get something set up for it. I've also entered the book into the CreateSpace contest and it's in the Second Round, but I have doubts it'll be entered into the Third Round. Even still, I hope something good happens with it.

Can you believe it's 5:24 a.m, and I'm watching Lilo and Stitch? Go Disney!

My first blog

So I finally made a blog. Here I will spend time discussing things that I find interesting, but mostly it will be a blog to speak about my published novel and the novels I am in the process of working on. For now, this post is mainly a pre-filler of things to come, so don't expect a whole page load of content to read.

More will come later.
